Huddersfield midfielder Philip Billing signs five year deal with Bournemouth. The 23-year-old Danish midfielder will make the £15m signing following Huddersfield relegation.
Billing was clear on his decision when he heard that there was interest from the Premier League club.
“As soon as I heard of the club’s interest, there was never a doubt in my mind,” said Billing.
“It was an easy decision to make to come into a squad which is full of talented, international players and working with a manager of Eddie Howe’s quality.”
The Bournemouth manager also commented on the signing, saying “Philip's an outstanding athlete, you just have to look at him to know that physically he'll bring a lot to the team."
"Technically he's also very good. A ball-playing centre midfielder, with good energy.
"He's got a real mixture of qualities that I think will make us stronger."
Billing is the third signing for the club this summer with Howe hoping to make more moves before the transfer window closes.
"Hopefully we've still got more transfers to do. If we can get the squad back with a full bill of health, I think we'll be very strong.
"There is definitely one area that we'd like to strengthen, so we'll see."
Lloyd Kelly and Jack Stacey are the other two signings that Howe has brought in. Stacey was also excited on his premier league move. He said, “There was always a few clubs interested but Bournemouth was always the one I saw myself at.”
