"You've seen Catfish, right? - The Best of Off the Ball from this week

Well, it was certainly an interesting week on Off the Ball what with Joe's possible murder, David Brady's new twitter account and Mo Farah missing some fairly important drug tests.

Here are the best bits from the week.

1. Joe is alive... We think.

The Golf Weekly podcast held their first Golf Weekly Classic yesterday out in Portmarnock. However, Wooly, Ger and Cian expressed serious concern about the fact that someone from Dubai was turning up... who Joe didn't know... at all.

Worry not, the nice man from Dubai was completely normal.

2. Is Irish football in trouble?

Mathematically Ireland are still in with a chance of qualifying for Euro 2016, but the mood certainly suggests that the Boys in Green will be on the outside looking in at the expanded tournament next summer.

Earlier this week, the guys wondered, is the future bleak for Irish football?

3. All aboard the #WoolyWagon

Following the women's Irish hockey loss during the week, the guys discussed whether we are a nation of band wagon jumpers.

Then something strange happened, a new band wagon was born. All aboard the #woolywagon.

4. Marquee forward

David Brady joined us on Off The Ball to analyse the match against Galway and he feels O'Shea's role will allow joint managers Noel Connelly and Pat Holmes to engineer their game-plan to their liking.

5. "I don't know how to tweet it"

Pundit and former Mayo footballer (that's how he describes himself on his Twitter account) David Brady has revealed that not only has he been on the social media website for quite a while, he's pretty much stalking everyone on there too.

6. "The club player gets a raw deal"

Former Kerry legend Tomas O'Se is currently playing club football with Nemo Rangers and in a wide-ranging chat with Off The Ball, he told them he believes club players have been getting a raw deal.

7. "Does it raise the level of suspicion against Mo Farah? Perhaps a fraction"

Renowned Sunday Times sportswriter David Walsh, who helped shed light on the Lance Armstrong case, feels that the larger story involving Farah's coach Alberto Salazar - who was the subject of a Panorama documentary about alleged doping claims - is of special significance in Mo Farah missing his drug tests in 2012.

8. 'Ali jumped off the table, he got in my face and he said "you should know better"'

On Wednesday's Off The Ball, we wanted to look at a period in Muhammad Ali's life when he was exiled from boxing and Ger Gilroy spoke to Jerry Izenberg, the renowned sportswriter who has followed Ali throughout his career.
