SOCCER
Manchester City begin their Premier League campaign as they travel to West Bromich Albion to take on Tony Pulis' men. It's far too early to be making predictions, but a couple of teams have already fallen at the first hurdle, so City will be looking to avoid any slip ups.
Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne's move to the Citizens might finally be complete as they have apparently met the £45 million asking price.
GOLF
Shane Lowry claimed the WGC Bridgestone Invitational last night, something that will surely shoot the Offaly-native up the rankings. Sinking the final putt clearly meant a lot, and you couldn't get the smile off his face once he sunk the birdie for the win.
What a show, Shane Lowry. Congratulations to the WGC-Bridgestone winner. #QuickHits http://t.co/Qb7Z4jkiua

Shane Lowry's ball at 18 went through tree branches and wound up 11 feet from the hole. He appreciated it. pic.twitter.com/RMczwneO1J

BOXING
Michael Conlon will fight France's Anthony Brett while Dean Walsh takes on either Romania's Florentin Niculescu or Norway's Hassan Srour in the 56kg class and Darren O’Neill will fight Evegeny Tischenko of Russia in the 91kg class.
RUGBY
There should be some news today on the status of Tommy O'Donnell's injury, which looked to be very serious in Saturday's match against Wales. Schmidt was refusing to rule him out of the tournament proper however, but there should be an update today that will give a clearer picture.
