The Final Whistle: Dublin And Kerry March On

GAELIC GAMES

Dublin and Kerry are through to the All-Ireland semi-finals after comfortable wins in Croke Park this afternoon.

Fermanagh's loss to Dublin ended 2-23 to 2-15, with fortunate goals putting a gloss on the scoreline for Pete McGrath's men.

Bernard Brogan and Paul Flynn notched the Dubs' goals while Stephen Cluxton was pushed over his own goal-line for Fermanagh's first green flag before Tomás Corrigan scored the second.

They'll now take on Mayo or Donegal in the last-four.

Kerry had an even easier day at the office.

7-16 to 10 points was the final score as they crushed a wasteful Kildare side.

They're on the other side of the draw and face either Monaghan or Tyrone next.

SOCCER

Arsene Wenger has finally got one over Jose Mourinho as Arsenal have beaten Chelsea in the Community Shield.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the only goal of the match as the Gunners ran out 1-nil winners.

After the match, Wenger was asked to sum-up his pre-season campaign as we head into the new season.

GOLF

Tiger Woods is 5-under for the day and has moved to 10-under overall after 10 holes at the Quicken Loans National.

He's now only 4 shots off Troy Merritt and Kevin Chappell's lead.

RACING

On the last day of the Galway Races, 7/4 favourite, 'Baraweez' won the feature race - the Ahonoora handicap.

The first of an eight-strong card at Ballybrit was won by the 7/2 favourite, Dollar and a Dream, while the 2.45 went the way of Slygufftou - an outsider at odds of 16/1.

Elsewhere, the 3.55 went to 'Cailin Anamh', 'Bally Longford' won the Lord Hemphill Memorial and 'Whatsforuwontgobyu' claimed the JPK Fencing Handicap.

In the last two races of the day, 'Almela' won the E-B-F Fillies Maiden while the Fr. Breen Memorial went the way of 5/4 favourite, Fugi Mountain.
