Kilkenny went on to claim their 36th All-ireland title this afternoon with TJ Reid again being the man to get the crucial scores for the Cats.
The Ballyhale Shamrocks frontman was outstanding for Kilkenny today and it was his goal that kept Cody's charges in the game when one could feel it was beginning to slip away from them. Reid finished the day with 1-7 and is in with a massive shout for man of the match after his performance.

Reid has been incredible for Kilkenny this year, his dead ball ability and his clinicalness in front of goal has made him the standout player to receive the coveted 'Player of the Year' accolade. With mass retirements in the Kilkenny panel this year it was a question of wo would step up and fill the gap and reid has done that without doubt.
reid has notched up an impressive, unless you're from Kilkenny, seven All-Ireland titles and has proven time and time again that class is permenant.
