HURLING
Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald says his side didn't deserve to lose yesterday's Munster semi final against Limerick in Thurles.
1-19 to 2-15 was the final score with Graeme Mulcahy scoring the goal for Limerick and sub Aaron Cunningham scoring two goals for Clare.
Patrick Donnellan was sent off just before half time for Clare while Seanie Tobin was given his marching orders almost immediately after coming on as a sub in the second half for Limerick.
After the match, Fitzgerald told Clare FM they didn't deserve to lose.Limerick manager TJ Ryan says they have a few things to improve on before they take on Tipperary in the semi final.
In the Leinster Qualifying Group, Carlow and Laois ran out winners against Antrim and Westmeath respectively.
Laois will now face Offaly in the Leinster quarter-finals as Westmeath also qualified - they take on Wexford.
GAELIC FOOTBALL
Monaghan manager Malachy O'Rourke says their experience told in yesterday's Ulster quarter final win over Cavan in Kingspan Breffini Park.
0-16 to 0-15 was the final score with Connor McManus scoring 7 points for Monaghan.
O'Rourke told BBC he was relieved to get the win.In the Connacht Championship, Roscommon earned a seven point win over London in Ruislip. It finished 1-14 to 0-10.
SOCCER
