Sinn Féin won't be putting forward a candidate for the position of Deputy First Minister
The Stormont Assembly is set to reconvene tomorrow and the party have already selected four candidates to contest the West Belfast constituency - Alex Maskey, Fra McCann, Pat Sheenan and Órlaithí Flynn.
At the selection convention today, Finance Minister Máirtín Ó Muilleoir said the Northern Ireland Assembly was "moving inexorably" towards a snap election.
"We will go to the Assembly tomorrow and we will not be nominating anyone to the post of Deputy First Minister, so we are moving inexorably towards an election."
Munster edge Glasgow in classic European tie
Munster and Glasgow played out a tense Champions Cup tie where the visitors prevailed 14-12 in Scotstoun and booked their place in the quarter-finals.
The home side dominated territory early in the match and kicked in behind the Munster defence on numerous occasions, putting the visitors under pressure in the line-out.
Speaking afterwards, Simon Zebo said: "We made tough work of it out there but it was a grinding battle and it certainly went down to the last 10 minutes and thankfully our character shone through. The forwards put in a big display and got us over the line."
Bus Éireann treatment of staff "totally unacceptable" - trade unions
Trade unions have called on Bus Éireann management to communicate with workers and publish plans for dealing with the funding crisis at the company.
On Wednesday, the company confirmed it is facing insolvency within 18 months unless “decisive actions” are taken.
In a statement yesterday evening, a Bus Éireann spokesperson said changes are urgently required at the company to address the network’s financial situation.
The statement confirmed that the company’s Expressway service - connecting many communities in rural Ireland - will remain a part of the business but admitted that there may be “alterations to operations of some routes.”
Theresa May expected to announce willingness to pull UK from single market
British Prime Minister Theresa May is expected to announce the UK will leave the single market, the customs union and European Court of Justice - unless the European Union agrees to end freedom of movement.
The British Prime Minister’s willingness to give up membership of the single market will be made clear in a major speech at Lancaster House in London on Tuesday, according to the Sun on Sunday.
Her red line issues will be an end to free movement from the EU and clearance to hold bilateral trade talks with other countries, which it is thought will not be achievable while still in the single market.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic strikes late as Man United deny Liverpool win at Old Trafford
A late goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic earned Manchester United a 1-1 draw against Premier League rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The Swede scored with six minutes of normal time to go to rescue a point for the home side, after Liverpool took the lead from the penalty spot on 27 minutes.
James Milner stepped up to take it and made no mistake as he scored his sixth goal of the season with a composed penalty, but that lead was taken away by Zlatan with his 14th Premier League goal of an impressive debut season.
