But the Kingdom held on to reach their second consecutive All-Ireland final and will face either Dublin or Mayo to defend their title

In the day's early Premier League game, Chelsea ran out 3-2 winners away to West Brom.

Manchester City ran out 2-nil winners through a second half goals from Alexander Kolarov adn Smir Nasri

Closer to home, the draw for the Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup has been made.
Bray Wanderers will host Killester, Cork City make the trip to Derry City.
Longford will face either Athlone Town or Sheriff and Sligo face the daunting trip to League of Ireland Champions, Dundalk.
CYCLING
It was a good day for the Irish in the Vuelta Espana, with Team Sky's Nicholas Roche and Team Cannondale's Dan Martin finishing third and fourth respecitively in the first individual stage of the event.
Colombia’s Esteban Chaves finished first, with several general classification contenders, including Chris Froome and Nairo Quintana, coming home in a group just over thirty seconds behind him.
The Orica GreenEdge rider outlasted Team Giant-Alpecin’s Tom Dumoulin over the 158.7km stage.
