Rory Best will play one more game of rugby before retiring. The Barbarians have announced that the former Ireland captain will be part of their squad for the game against Fiji.

Best announced his retirement from the game in May. The Ulster stalworth made 124 appearances in the green of Ireland and another 218 for the northern province.

The hooker was a twice tourist with the British and Irish Lions in 2013 and 2017. Rory Best made nine appearances in the famous red shirt.

Best made an emotional exit from the national team in the callow 46-14 defeat to New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final in Japan. An appearance many assumed to be his final in professional rugby.

Tour

Eddie Jones, possibly a World Cup winner by then, will be the man in charge of Rory Best's final game. The Baa-Baas will face Fiji in the first game of their November tour at Twickenham on Saturday 16 November.

Fiji come into the game on the back of some encouraging Rugby World Cup performances, including when leading Australia well into the second half on day two of the tournament.

The Barbarians will also visit Brazil for the first time. Game two of the Baa-Baas tour will be in Sao Paulo to play the national side on November 20.

The final leg of the 2019 tour will be at The Principality Stadium against Wales on November 30th.
