'That's our Uber right there' | Eoin Sheahan surprised with Nashville viral reunion

A year ago, a video of our own Eoin Sheahan surfaced online that none of us are ever likely to forget in a hurry.

He was in Nashville, Tennessee with his friend Jason, at the NFL Draft. Not in a working capacity, but he did do a television interview for a local Nashville station that will stay in our hearts forever.

The video itself has crossed the 200,000 views threshold - maybe it's the Irishness, or the pure joy on his face at the end. Or maybe it's Jason killing his line - "That's our Uber right there."

You can watch the original video below, but we decided to suprise Eoin on OTB AM this morning with Jason, and WKRN News reporter Brent Remadna popping in for a reunion chat.

Eoin's reaction? "What the hell is this? Is this a dream or what's the story like?

Brent gave his own recollections of that fateful night in the United States.

"Well I'll tell you, I don't know if he was on assigment or on vacation, but I might have gotten him in trouble if he was on assignment.

"I was out at about 4am in the morning, and Broadway is where we have all our bars, that's where the [NFL] Draft was as you all know. It was a crowded street, hundreds of thousands of people.

"It had cleared out, because basically it was four in the morning, everybody knows to go home. I see these two guys walking down the street, and my producers are in my ear, I'm going live on the news and they're telling me we need some interviews.

"I walked up to these two gentlemen, both very friendly... I couldn't tell if they might have had too much to drink or if they were trying to talk with an accent and pretend they were Irish!

"Sure enough, they actually were from Ireland."

Eoin said he knew he was in for an interesting day online when saw the notification on his phone the next day.

"The main thing I remember is just kind of waking up the next day, and the notification saying fifty-something from Twitter alone. That was fairly terrifying... there was one Off The Ball viewer who must have lived in Tennessee and followed the station, and if it wasn't for that one whistleblower, I would have gotten away with it.

"I will say Jason had a far better recollection of the entire thing. The next day when I was like 'God, I have a lot of Twitter notifications'. And he said 'Oh yeah, do you remember the television crew?' And I was like 'WHAT?!'"

The rest, as they say folks, is history.
