The Indiana based side were dominant from the start, leading by 10 points to nil at the end of the first quarter.
The Cyclones did improve in the second quarter, scoring two field goals through the boot of Connor Asselley.
However, Notre Dame held a convincing lead by half time, leading Iowa State by 20 points to six.

Brian Kelly, head coach of the Fighting Irish, was surely happy with his side at the break but they didn’t let up, again scoring 10 points in the third quarter.
That left it 30-9 to Notre Dame going into the final quarter, with the game firmly put to bed.
The fourth quarter was a quiet affair with only three points being scored through the boot of the Fighting Irish’s Jonathan Doerer.
The game, played at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, was the fighting Irish’s 11th win of the season, bringing their overall record to 11-2.
That makes it the sixth win on the trot for Notre Dame, having not lost since their 45-14 loss to the Michigan Wolverines in October.
Iowa State have not had as good a time of late, with Saturday’s loss being their fourth in six games, bringing their season record to 7-6.
