Zlatan Ibrahimovic's spell at Manchester United may only last one season.
The Swedish striker, signed a one-year deal with Jose Mourinho's side last summer. He has the option of a second year, but the 35-year-old revealed after United's 2-0 win over Watford, that he may move on.
When asked if he had activated the clause that entitled him to a second season, the former PSG striker revealed he was in a position to stay for another year at Old Trafford.
"Something like that. I have to score 100 goals! The option is already fulfilled. But there’s nothing done yet. From my side. We’ll wait and see. Let’s see what happens."
Ibrahimovic has scored 18 goals this season, with 15 of those coming in the Premier League. Only Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku have scored more this season.
It is the eleventh season in a row, that Ibrahimovic has scored at least 14 league goals in a season. Those seasons have been in Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1.
Last November, Jose Mourinho confirmed that the club were to offer the striker another season in England. If the Swede is to leave Manchester at the end of the season, MLS looks like his most likely destination having spoken recently about his desire to move to America.
