There were wins for Paddy Barnes and Jamie Conlan last night at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.
In the headline event, Jamie Conlan fought back from an eighth round knockdown, to take a split-decision victory over Yader Cardoza, and collect the vacant WBC International super flyweight championship strap.
Cardoza appeared to take the first round, but Conlan gradually worked himself into contention with some good combination play.
Both fighters traded wins in the intermittent rounds before Conlan looked to be in trouble when Cardoza advanced in the closing 50 seconds of the eighth round to send the 'The Mexican' to the canvas with a flurry of hits.
Conlan suffered a cut above his eye in later rounds, but recovered to outpoint his opponent for the win, and keep his world title dreams alive.
Elsewhere on the 'Belfast Boys Are Back' card, Paddy Barnes, scored his second win in the pro ranks with a clinical display against Adrian Dimas Garzon.
Despite his Argentinian opponent landing a hard shot with the left in the first round, Barnes was dominant throughout.
Barnes won each of the six rounds of this undercard bout, and was eventually awarded a 60-54 victory by the judges.
The former Olympian called this his 'second debut' after his first professional fight resulted in Bulgarian opponent Stefan Slavchev being disqualified for lifting Barnes up above his shoulder in the ring.
