Warriors comeback stuns Spurs in NBA Western Finals

Golden State Warriors remain unbeaten in the NBA Playoffs this season, but suffered a massive scare against San Antonio Spurs.

The Warriors were one of the teams to win their opening two rounds 4-0, but almost lost their opening match of the Western Conference Finals. Golden State won 113-111.

San Antonio led at one point by 25 points, but Steph Curry (40 points) and Kevin Durant (34 points) led the comeback, eventually levelling the tie in the final two minutes.

The Warriors' comeback was made easier by an ankle injury suffered by Spurs star Kawhi Leonard. The injury is similar to what Leonard suffered last week, and his participation in the rest of the series is now at doubt.

Leonard scored 26 points in the match, before he left the court in the third quarter. LaMarcus Aldridge top-scored for the Spurs with 28 points.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven series takes place in Oakland on Tuesday night.

While the Western Conference Finals has already begun, Cleveland are still waiting to find out their opponents for the Eastern Finals. Monday night sees Washington Wizards travel to Boston Celtics in the winner-takes-all match.

Boston won the opening two games of the series, but it is now tied at 3-3 ahead of Monday night's game.
