Tributes are pouring in following the passing of Derry City club captain Ryan McBride.
The 27 year old Derry native played as a defender for the League of Ireland Premier Division club.
He had been with Derry City since making his debut in 2011 and had gone on to make over 100 appearances for his hometown club.
According to The Derry Journal, McBride was found dead in his bedroom earlier on Sunday evening. The cause of death is unknown.
He had been in action for his club against Drogheda United on Saturday in the league.
