There isn't much to write home about when one thinks of Ireland and Canada's footballing relationship.
Indeed, the two countries have only met once in a men's senior international and it was a friendly at the old Landsdowne Road back in November 2003 during the reign of Brian Kerr.
Ireland won 3-0 against the Canadians, who have only ever qualified for one World Cup in 1986 when they went home after the group stage.
This week on Newstalk's Team 33, we chatted in depth to former Canada striker Tomasz Radzinski who would be best remembered here for his time with Everton and Fulham, as well as scoring twice in Anderlecht's 2-1 Champions League win over Manchester United in 2000-01 which prompted Alex Ferguson to recommend the Polish-born Canadian to former Everton boss Walter Smith.

Radzinski played in that match against Ireland and it was one of many career talking points he reminisced about with us on Team 33 - particularly how Richard Dunne - who's pace was not his main asset - surprised him, given Radzinski was no slouch himself in that regard.
"The Canadian football career was great but more what I will remember is the 3-0 defeat in your country," he said of that Ireland match.
"It was one of those games where we thought we might win - and we did get beaten 3-0 so I should have done my homework before that game because Richard Dunne was the central defender and I didn't really know him that well.

"I think he had just started his career in the Premier League so when I went through the offside trap and I was clear with only the goalkeeper in front of me, I thought 'there we go, I'm one v one and it'll be 1-0 to us'.
"Unfortunately, Mr Dunne was way quicker than I expected. He was really so quick that I could not believe it. I had to watch the video back several times to see how is it possible that this lad is so quick.
"Although he was a little bit on the bigger side - I'm not saying chunky or anything like that but he was a little bit on the bigger side - but he was lightning fast which was deceptive for me."
Radzinski also discussed his club career including the pros of working with David Moyes at Everton but also the cons, as well as why he adores former Fulham and now Wales manager Chris Coleman.
Plus he discussed some of his friendships in the game with ex-Everton team-mate Thomas Gravesen and with ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek, which was sparked during their first Merseyside derby on opposing sides.
