It appears the return of former welterweight champion George St. Pierre to the UFC is a done deal.
MMAFighting.com are reporting that the Canadian star has finally put his differences with the promotion aside and signed a multi-fight deal.
He hasn't fought since a disputed split decision win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in November 2013.
He reportedly fell out with the promotion over a number of issues but was particularly disappointed with their drug-testing policy.
However, on the 1st October 2015, the UFC agreed a deal with United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) who have since implemented a rigorous independent testing program.
Of course, the UFC is now a truly global company so as part of the international UFC anti-doping program, USADA works with other independent anti-doping organizations around the world, and all UFC athletes, who are now subject to the anti-doping program run by USADA.

There has been some recent back-and-forth in the media between the GSP and the UFC. The Canadian even declared himself a free agent and not tied to his previous contract as he believed its terms had expired.
However, it now appears both parties have resolved their differences and one of the sport's biggest names will return.
It is welcome news for new UFC owners WME-IMG who are in desperate need of another PPV draw besides Conor McGregor after the decline of Ronda Rousey and Jon Jones coupled with the Brock Lesnar situation.
What division he will fight in remains to be seen but there are indications he will move up to middleweight.
