Margaret Court has controversially claimed that tennis "is full of lesbians".
Her claims came when speaking to a Christian radio station in Australia about her comments over plans to boycott the Australian airline Qantas. Earlier this month, Court said she would not fly with the airline "where possible" over their support of same-sex marriage.
One of the most decorated players in the history of tennis, Court won 24 Grand Slams titles as an amateur and professional. One of the main courts in Melbourne at the Australian Open is named in her honour.
After retiring, Court became a Christian pastor and with outspoken in Australia for her conservative beliefs.
According to Australia's Daily Telegraph, Court told Vision Christian Radio (VCR) that "because even when I was playing there was only a couple there but those couple that lead that took young ones into parties and things."
Court has previously claimed that the newborn son of Australian tennis player Casey Dellacqua "has seemingly been deprived of his father" after the 32-year-old's partner gave birth to their son.

In the interview with VCR, Court also claimed that transgender children were influenced by the Devil.
"I tell you, a child can just start to think ‘well, maybe I am a girl’ when they’re a boy or and maybe I’m a boy and I’m a girl."
"God’s got so much in there about the mind how it affects us, affects our emotions, our feelings, you can think ‘oh I’m a boy’ and it’ll affect your emotions and feelings, and everything else and so that’s all the Devil."
Court's name remains on the Margaret Court Arena, despite players such as Andy Murray and Australian Samantha Stosur claiming the may skip next year's Australian Open in protest at Court's comments.
