When it comes to the title side of the Premier League race, prepare for a boring finale as Chelsea finish things off.
But between second and seventh there is plenty of life left as six sides battle for three of the remaining four Champions League spots.
Liverpool suited to Top 6 sides
A 1-1 draw at the Etihad means Liverpool have still not been beaten by a side occupying the Top 6 places in the Premier League table - make that Top 7 when one includes the 1-0 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby.
A side like Manchester City, who they faced today, is almost the perfect opposition for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to press and counter-attack at speed because they leave so much space.
But for a late fluffing of lines from Adam Lallana and Liverpool could have got a crucial second goal.
In the end a 1-1 draw keeps Liverpool fourth, just behind City, although Manchester United and Arsenal four and six points behind respectively have two games in hand on Klopp's team.
However, they can't count on facing Top 7 sides who are willing to come out and play after the Merseyside derby return against Everton at Anfield following the international break.
The final eight fixtures are against sides lower down the table, with tough trips to Stoke, West Brom and Watford still to come.
But with no more fixtures to come against Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal to come, Liverpool's record the other members of the Top 6 reads: 5 wins and 5 draws with no defeats.
Tottenham's away day woes
Ex-Ireland defender Gary Breen raised the disparity between Spurs' home and away record after watching them beat Southampton at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have not lost at home this season, also drawing just twice at the Lane.
But the reason they find themselves 10 points off Chelsea is down to their less impressive away record.
All three of their losses have come away but more significantly, they have won just four times on the road.
Indeed, if the Premier League table was based on home form alone, Tottenham are six points clear of Chelsea at the top - albeit having played two games more on home soil.
But their away record is only the sixth best in the league. Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are above them in that order.
Manchester United saved by away record
In contrast to Tottenham, it's the away form that has been the saving grace for Manchester United.
They have the third best away record in the Premier League (perhaps the best as they have away games in hand on Chelsea and Manchester City).
Beating Middlesbrough 3-1 on Sunday was another step in the right direction in the overall table but also for their excellent away record which reads eight wins, three draws and two defeats.
On the other hand, too many draws have cost them at Old Trafford where they have only lost once in 2016-17.
