Stephen Bradley: Dundalk victory "probably the longest where we've looked like a proper team"

Stephen Bradley says Friday night's victory over Dundalk was the closest his team have looked to producing a complete performance this season.

The Tallaght club have struggled for consistency in the Premier Division this season and have racked up six defeats in their opening 12 league games.

Speaking to Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan after last night's game, Bradley said it was important that his side showed signs of improving as a unit.

"I thought we were excellent," he said. "We started really well, got the two goals and managed the game really well as a team. That's the key thing for me tonight, we were a team.

"It's getting better. Tonight was probably the longest in a game where we've looked like a proper team. When we lose games people outside are getting carried away talking nonsense."

He added: "We don't panic. We know what we've got here."

One of Rovers' key men this season has been former Dundalk player Ronan Finn and Bradley highlighted the influence he has had on the squad since joining in the spring.

"Ronan was so disappointed with us drawing the game last week [against Limerick FC] and it's been in his head since that night. He knows last week was a big three points and we let it slip.

"He wanted to make up for it tonight. His energy, he ran through midfielders. He was outstanding."

Rovers now face the trip to fierce rivals Bohemians next Friday night.
