David Moyes has been honoured with a statue outside Anfield today, “For service to Liverpool Football Club”.
The statue is the latest stunt from Irish bookies Paddy Power and stands outside Anfield today in the build up to this afternoon’s top of the table clash between Liverpool and Chelsea.
It’s not the first time the bookies has had a go at the recently sacked former United boss – earlier this season they unveiled an Alex Ferguson model, supposedly available for us in an emergency, outside Old Trafford, and sent a Grim Reaper to Goodison Park for Man Utd's trip to face Everton.
A statement from Paddy Power said the statue “shows Moyes in his characteristically troubled and dejected pose” and labelled Moyes as “the ‘chosen one’ for the Liverpool faithful.”
