Rory McIlroy halved his match against Emiliano Grillo but had already been eliminated prior to teeing off.
The Northern Irishman did not hold the lead at any point during the match-up, although he managed to level the scores with two holes to play.
Both McIlroy and Lowry exit the competition at the group stage.
Soren Kjeldsen of Denmark who was the lowest seed in McIlroy's group, ended up topping it with three wins from three as USA's Gary Woodland had withdrawn prior to his final match.
