Shamrock Rovers under pressure as Finn Harps head to Tallaght

Only six games into the season and Shamrock Rovers find themselves under pressure to keep pace with the leading pack.

Four losses in that period has seen them fall twelve points behind leaders Cork City and six behind both Dundalk and Derry City, with the latter having two games in hand.

Rovers headed to Richmond Park last weekend for a Dublin derby against winless St. Patrick's Athletic only to blow a one goal lead and have a Sean Heaney sent off for a second bookable offence in the first half and ended up losing 2-1.

Although they lost away to Dundalk on the opening night of the season, they beat arch rivals Bohemians 2-1 in their next match.

A loss to Derry preceded a win at Galway but they now welcome Finn Harps to Tallaght Stadium on the back of losses to Cork and St. Pats, badly needing a win to get their league campaign back on track.

New Rovers' boss Stephen Bradley has pleaded for patience to mould the team as he sees fit but a loss against Harps this weekend could see the Tallaght side's season unravel before it has even started.
