Last weekend, Serbia became the first European team to qualify for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.
The Olympic silver medallists qualified for the tournament in Japan after winning a qualification tournament in Poland. Serbia's place was guaranteed after they defeated the hosts on Sunday.
After the match, the team celebrated their impending trip to Japan by pulling the sides of their eyes in what can only be described as offensive.
According to Deadspin, the photo was on the the FIVB's website in a story about Serbia's qualification, before it was swiftly removed.
The Serbs will be one of eight European teams competing in Japan. In their three previous World Championship appearances, the team finished in third place in 2006, and followed it with two top-eight finishes in 2010 and 2014.
The photo of the Serbian team is similar to how Argentina international Ezequiel Lavezzi posed in promotional pictures for the Chinese Super League in pictures that were released earlier this month.
