Seanie Maguire is a wanted man in England.
The Cork City striker has led the line for the Premier Division leaders scoring eight goals so far this season. John Caulfield's side have won their opening ten games to have a nine point lead at the top of the table.
Speaking to Newstalk's SSE Airtricity League Podcast after Cork City's win over St. Patrick's Athletic, Maguire said he would find it difficult not to have his head turned by the advances of a club cross-channel.
Among those in attendance on Friday night in Richmond Park was Preston manager Simon Grayson. Preston have already recruited from the League of Ireland in recent months, signing Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle from Dundalk.
Maguire revealed he is happy to be linked with clubs of Preston's stature, and would have to consider any offers that came his way this summer.

"If the opportunity arises for me to go to England and play in a high level like The Championship, we'll have to talk about it at the time. I'm fully focused on what to do with Cork City. We're heading in the right direction towards the league title."
"I want to stay and win the league, but if an opportunity comes in June or July, I'll sit down with the club that's interested. You need to be wary of what club you go to. You want to go to a club that will treat you right."
The Kilkenny native left Waterford United as a teenager to join West Ham United. He has also had a loan spell in England with Accrington Stanley, and he told Oisin Langan he has matured since he returned home.
"I've physically and mentally gotten better. I was 19 or 20 playing for Accrington Stanley, but when I moved to Cork City it was the first time I played as a number nine".
Along with Daryl Horgan, Maguire was one of the shining lights last season. He is on course to join the former Dundalk midfielder in England.
