Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had previously stated that star player Alexis Sanchez was dropped due to tactical reasons for the game against Liverpool on Saturday.
However, a report in the Guardian suggests that Sanzhez stormed off from a training session and then became involved in a dressing room slagging match after.
Arsenal went on to lose the match 3-1 and Wenger suggested afterwards that the decision to drop Sanchez was a tactical one.
It appears now that there might be a different reason for the Chilean's exclusion from the starting line-up.
Arsenal's only realistic hope of silverware this season is the FA Cup wheere they face Middlesbrough in the quarter-final. They have to overturn a 5-1 deficit against Bayern Munich in the Champions League if they are to progress in Europe.
They are 13 points behind Chelsea in the Premier League.
Sanchez is yet to sign a new deal at the club and may be maneuvering for a move away from the club in the summer.
