It's highly likely that former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will not return to the octagon.
Rousey has been a pioneer of women's MMA ever since she moved over from Olympic Judo to professional fighting.
After dethroning Miesha Tate in Strikeforce, she became the first female title holder in the UFC - even after the promotions president Dana White famously said there would never be a women's division in the organisation.
Rousey has since become one of the top draws in MMA alongside Ireland's Conor McGregor.
She went on to win her first 12 successive professional fights with only one opponent making out of the first round.
Her incredible run came to a shuddering halt when she was brutally knock-out by Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. Rousey took the loss hard and avoided the media spotlight for a considerable amount of time.
She eventually made her return at UFC 207 last December but was stopped by Amanda Nunes in less than a minute. Since then, her continuation in the sport was been questioned and Dana White believes she will not return.
Speaking to reports in Buffalo, White said: "Ronda and I talk maybe once a week, once every two weeks. She has not said anything to me about a comeback.
“And If I had to guess, I would guess that she will not come back.”
