The selections for the Lions squad always stirs debate every four years and on the eve of head coach Warren Gatland's announcement tomorrow, we look at a couple of possible bolters for this summer's tour.
Jamie George (Saracens & England)
England's reserve hooker has a strong chance of making the squad ahead of his national captain. A strong scrummager and solid line-out operator, George's skillset could see him part of Gatland's plans if he intends to physically over-power the All Blacks.
His understanding with clubmate George Kruis could also be a decisive factor if both are to make the plane.

Sam Davies (Ospreys & Wales)
The versatile out-half/first centre is hot on the heels for Dan Biggar's club and national jerseys. The left-booted wonder kid has stepped into Biggar's shoes comfortably over the last couple of years and could well be a surprise name when the squad is announced on Wednesday.
At 23 years old and considering he shares club duties with Biggar, he could be relatively fresh at the end of the season when the tour commences.

Josh Van Der Flier (Leinster & Ireland)
Although a fairly seasoned player already, the Leinsterman is only 23 years old. He played a huge role in Ireland's win over New Zealand in Chicago and his prowess at the breakdown could be key if the Lions are not nullify the threat of Sam Cane and co.
VDF plays the game the same way as Justin Tipuric and could well be a back-up ground specialist considering the daunting assignment in front of the tourists in June and July.

His man of the match display in an open game against Connacht at the weekend will have done his chances no harm either.
Warren Gatland is due to name his touring squad on Wednesday.
