Padraig Harrington says this week's BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth will be about managing his neck injury and ensuring he remains fit for the weeks to come.
The three-time major winner admits that the course hasn't suited him in the past, but this week's performance is primarily about making sure he continues his recovery.
"I haven't played in 12 weeks now, so I'm a bit into the unknown," he said.
"It's not a golf course I've found too easy in the past, but they have revamped it. It's in great condition and certainly a little easier."
Harrington underwent surgery for a neck injury in March and says he won't be looking to push himself too hard this week.
"Because I'm only back I'm just trying to manage my game I'm not thinking that far ahead at this stage. Who knows how I'll play Thursday, Friday and Saturday."
Asked whether he would like to be involved in the Dubai Championship at the end of the season, he said: "It's one of those events where the better you play, the more it comes into focus.
"It's something you want to be in at the end of the year but you've got to play well first of all."
