Former Ireland, Chelsea and West Brom defender Paddy Mulligan feels Arsenal put in a disgraceful performance against an impressive Tottenham in the North London derby on Sunday evening.
The result keeps Spurs four points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea, while Arsenal's Top Four hopes took another hit.
Speaking to Newstalk.com, Paddy contrasted what both derby rivals had to offer.
"Spurs have done exceptionally well and they absolutely pulverised Arsenal last Sunday. Arsenal were a disgrace - take nothing away from Spurs," he said.
"Spurs went about their job in the right fashion and gave Arsenal a real hiding and a very well deserved win. They deserve great credit for the way they've stuck at it."
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher made the point on Sky Sports that Tottenham would likely have won the league if Chelsea had been involved in the Champions League or Europa League this season.
But Paddy feels there is little value in dwelling on an imponderable point like that.
"But that's all hypotheses," said Paddy of Carragher's point.
"Chelsea didn't qualify for Europe and they had a very, very bad season last season. That's all hypothetical and it means nothing.
"The fact is Chelsea are top of the league and they have been absolutely brilliant all season long and if people who follow Tottenham would be clutching at straws there if they think Tottenham could win the league.
"I mean, Tottenham could still win the league, don't get me wrong, if Chelsea happen to lose two games but I just can't see that happening and I just think Chelsea are too strong. They're the best team in the Premier League by a long way."
