Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan have announced that they are to fight later this year.
The April 23rd bout is expected to take place in the United Arab Emirates, but not venue has yet been confirmed. Pacquiao's WBO World Welterweight Title will be on the line.
Although having never fought, the duo have plenty of experience of each other having trained under Freddie Roach. Khan left Roach's camp in 2012, to train under Virgil Hunter.
Khan returns to the welterweight division, after moving up to middleweight, to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in his previous both. The Olympic silver medallist was overpowered, leading to a brutal knock out in the sixth round.
Pacquiao is unbeaten since his 2015 loss to Floyd Mayweather. He has a 9-3 record in his previous 12 fights, but has not won inside the distance since a 12th round stoppage of Miguel Cotto in 2009.
Negotiations between team Pacquiao and team Khan have come to terms for the April 23 bout as this is what the fans wanted. #PacquiaoKhan
