Mike Tyson praises Anthony Joshua impact

Former undisputed heavyweight world boxing champion Mike Tyson says Anthony Joshua has changed the sport for the better.

Joshua stopped Wladimir Klitschko in the 11th round of a thrilling fight at Wembley Stadium last weekend to add the WBA world title to his IBF belt.

Tyson, who had tipped the more exprienced Klitschko to win on Saturday night, says Joshua is doing something for boxing that other fighters couldn't.

In remarks made to ESPN at the launch of his Mike Tyson Academy in Dubai, he commented: "Whenever there's a new heavyweight champion and he's explosive like that and wins the title like that it changes the whole game. All the little guys that were making a lot of money are not going to make their money any more.

"It's all going to be about Joshua and the heavyweights now. That one fight changed boxing."

On Joshua's potential, Tyson also added that the "sky is the limit for him now and he is going to dominate the division" heading into the future.

While Joshua now holds the IFB and WBA belts, the others are held by American Deontay Wilder and New Zealand's Joseph Parker.

Wilder holds the WBC title, while Parker is WBO champion.
