Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson has equalled Anderson Silva's record of ten consecutive UFC championship defences.
The diminutive American and the UFC's only flyweight champion submitted his latest challenger, Wilson Reis, in the third round of their title fight last night to stake his claim as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.
Speaking afterwards he said: "It was a good damn night. This in probably the best training camp I've ever had.
"I went back and did a lot of things different in this camp and it's the best I've ever felt."
Asked on where he believes he ranks in the MMA world, Johnson said: "GSP and Anderson Silva - they're great champions but I'm the best champion to ever set foot inside the octagon. I'm finishing my opponents. There's not another champion out there that wrestles, strikes, clinches. Ladies and Gentleman, thank you to Matt Hume and Brad Curtain - it's all up to them."
Looking to the future and a possible super-fight against bantamweight holder Cody Garbrandt, Johnson said: "I already told Dana White I need a seven figures, I need a million dollar pay day."
Garbrandt is due to face his former teammate TJ Dillashaw later this year.
