Rory McIlroy shot a first round total of 74 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill to leave him on two over par and seven shots off the pace.
McIlroy shot four birdies, four bogies and a double bogey as he struggled to make an early impact on the leaderboard.

Emiliano Grillo and Matthew Fitzpatrick lead the way on five-under, followed closely by Lucas Glover, Paul Casey and Charley Hoffman who are all a shot further back.
Former world number one Jason Day is among a group of 12 players on two-under which includes Stewart Cink and Alex Noren.

Graeme McDowell posted an even par round of 72 and sits in tied 27th place.
