WATCH: Managers clash during West Yorkshire derby

Michael Hefele was on hand to score late for Huddersfield Town as they beat local rivals Leeds United 2-1 in the West Yorkshire derby on Sunday afternoon.

The game was marred by scenes at the end of the game as both Huddersfield boss David Wagner and Leeds manager Garry Monk collided in the technical area. Hefele's late goal sparked ecstatic scenes throughout John Smith's Stadium and Wagner decided to join his players in celebrations after the goal.

As he returned to his dug-out, he and Monk exchanged words and players from both sides rushed in to join in the pushing and shoving.

After the game, Monk defended his actions and explained what had happened between the two which resulted in them both being sent to the stands.

"I can only speak for myself," he said. "In my world and where I've been brought up, my values are to have humility, to have respect and to have a bit of class.

"When I don't see that, I take it upon myself to make sure that's put right. It is what it is. I didn't make anything of it to be honest, but I live by my values and those are values I hold dearly to myself and to my team. My team live by that."
