Manchester City have gone top of the Barclays Premier League after a 4 - 0 win over Aston Villa at Eastlands.
City struggled to find a breakthrough until the 64th minute when Edin Dzeko pounced to convert a Pablo Zabaleta pass.
The Bosnian would double that lead eight minutes later against a hard-working Villa defence before Stevan Jovetic and Yaya Toure finished-off the rout, the Ivorian doing so with a powerful solo goal.
The win means that City have now moved two points clear of Liverpool at the top of the table ahead of the final weekend of the season.
But even if they win the Premier League title, how satisfactory has the season really been for Manuel Pellegrini's side?
We were joined by The Guardian's Daniel Harris after the game and this season's City incarnation will not be among the most memorable champions despite playing good football.
"I don't think City have been brilliant this season. It's kind of like the last time they won it, when they bottled it and then United threw it away and then City nearly bottled it again," said Harris, who believes City will go up another gear if they sign a new centre-back.
"They won't go down as a team that you'll remember particularly - unless you're a City fan."
But he believes Pellegrini should get credit for the way in which he has led City to the brink of the title.
