Jose Mourinho has warned that Manchester United will feel the affect of fixture congestion.
The club are in Europa League last 32 action against French side Saint Etienne, with the first leg on Thursday night.
Aside from their Europa League and Premier League commitments, they are also involved in two other domestic competitions.
On February 26th the Reds travel to Wembley Stadium to face Southampton in the EFL Cup final and between then and Thursday's European game, they also take on Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup fifth round this Sunday and the Saint Etienne return leg three days later.
More fixture congestion will arise if United progress in the FA Cup and Europa League. With that in mind, United manager Mourinho shared his concerns about the short term future leading into the end of the current season.
"The Europa League is a competition where we play on Thursdays and that makes it even more difficult for us," he said.
"With the accumulation of FA Cup, League Cup and match postponed it is really hard for us.
"If you progress in the competitions, we will be in trouble in April and May. But we cannot choose competitions so we play to win."
United are sixth in the Premier League table although they are back in contention for a Top Four place as they sit just sit two points off the sides in third and fourth, Tottenham and Arsenal.
