Jose Mourinho: We will play with Manchester victims in our hearts

Jose Mourinho wants Monday night's terror attack victims to be in Manchester United's hearts and minds when they play in tomorrow's Europa League final.

The club's manager says his side still have a job to do against Ajax in Stockholm, and he knows the people of Manchester will pull together.

United cancelled tonight's pre-match news conference after the suicide bombing that killed 22 people.

"We are all very sad about the tragic events last night," he said in a statement released by the club. "We cannot take out of our minds and our hearts the victims and their families.

"We have a job to do and we will fly to Sweden to do that job. It is a pity we cannot fly with the happiness that we always have before a big game.

"I know, even during my short time here, that the people of Manchester will pull together as one."

The team held a short silence before training at Carrington earlier this afternoon.

UEFA have also come forward to say: "There is currently no specific intelligence which might suggest that any of the UEFA Europa League final activities in Stockholm may be the target of attacks."
