Jack O'Donoghue fully aware of Glasgow physicality

Munster have faced Glasgow on three occasions this season and each time have managed to come out on top.

Their Scottish counterparts travel to Independent Park this weekend to salvage some pride against Rassie Erasmus' side, who have just booked their place in the Champions Cup semi-final.

Munster currently sit second in the Guinness PRO12 table and look to close the gap on leaders and fellow province, Leinster.

Because of their familiarity with Glasgow, Munster flanker Jack O'Donoghue says the Irish province will be wary of the threat they pose.

"This is our fourth time meeting, so we probably know each other inside and out at this stage," he said. "They're coming looking for revenge.

"They'll be hurting after last weekend and we've come out on top on three occasions by the skin of our teeth.

"They're always going to bring that level of physicality, so that will be something that we have to match. We may have to go one step further and maul them, scrum them and those are things that we do well."

Domestic form is something Munster have been able to pride themselves on and they remain well in the hunt on the European front.

Having beaten Toulouse in the Champions Cup quarter-final, they will now meet Saracens for a chance to secure a first major European final since 2008.

"We watched the game and they're an unbelievable outfit. They beat a good Glasgow side that we have face this weekend.

"It's going to be a tough battle. They're defending champions and there isn't really any home advantage. For our fans, it's two hours up the motorway, so hopefully we have a support."

Of their win over Toulouse, he said: "An unbelievable performance by the team. The support was incredible and the atmosphere was electric. That just all adds to the excitement that you saw after the game.

"It was definitely one to remember. It was one of the biggest days of my career and one of the biggest days I've been involved in with the club. But there's more to come."
