“He’s just phenomenal.” ”“ Ryan Jones on LeBron James

One might expect LeBron James to be winding down his career in his advancing years at the Cleveland Cavaliers, but that is not the case – according to Ryan Jones of Slam Magazine.

LeBron is about to play every single game for the first time in his career, and is set to lead the Cavs into the play-offs at 33 years old. Ryan believes that this is a great time for basketball players in the NBA.

“Statistically, he’s having one of his two or three best seasons at age 33, and at this point he’s played more career minutes now than Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Shaquille O’Neal. He’s played the level of minutes that you would expect from a guy who is 35, 36 or 37 years old. To play 82 games this year is remarkable.

“I think over the past 28 or 29 games, he has averaged basically a 30 point triple-double, which is just phenomenal. He’s just at another level. My loyalty to and fandom of his is well-known.

“Russell Westbrook is on a season-long triple-double as well, and his numbers have been incredible so there is a lot of players that can approach these other-worldly numbers over the course of an entire season – it’s incredible to watch.”
