Has Willy Caballero become Manchester City's number one?

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was one of Pep Guardiola's key signings at the start of the season.

The Chilean shot-stopper was brought into the club, in one of Guardiola's first moves as manager. The transfer resulted in Joe Hart's loan to Torino in Serie A.

Bravo was signed by Guardiola because of his excellent abilities with the ball at his feet, but his abilities with his hands hasn't been what the manager wanted this season.

In Willy Caballero, Guardiola has one of the best back-ups in the Premier League. A former Malaga goalkeeper, the 35-year-old has performed excellently for City since joining in 2014 as a backup to Hart and now Bravo.

Caballero started Monday's win over Bournemouth, his fourth game in a row (three in the league), conceding only one goal in the process, as City continue to move up the Premier League table to second place.

Overall, the Argentine has started six games this season, winning all six. Compared to Bravo's 19 starts, where City have failed to win just under half of those games. In those 19 games, City have won ten, drawn four and lost five where Bravo started.

By staring Gabriel Jesus ahead of Sergio Aguero on Monday night, Guardiola has shown he is not afraid to make the big decisions of dropping any star players. Is Caballero City's number one for the remainder of the season?
