Harry Kane could be facing an injury lay-off of between four and six weeks, according to Sky Sports.
The medical team at Spurs are not putting a definite time-frame around his recovery time, and must wait for the swelling to go down before making a more accurate assessment.
There were initial fears that Kane could be a doubt for the rest of the season, after he was substituted during the early stages of Tottenham's comprehensive win over Millwall in the FA Cup last weekend.

The club then released a positive injury update, indicating that the nature of the injury was not as severe as first suspected.
It's believed that the ankle problem is similar to one he sustained last September, which ruled him out for 10 games.
The in-form striker, who is currently the joint top-scorer in the Premier League alongside Romelu Lukaku, is therefore likely to miss Spurs' upcoming FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
