It was a good day of goalscoring action for a trio of Irish players in the English Championship this Saturday.
And it was a memorable one for former Dundalk winger Daryl Horgan as his current side Preston North End took on Brentford.
Before his goalscoring contribution, Ireland winger Aiden McGeady had continued his good form this season in the second tier with a double.

His first from just outside the box levelled the game at 1-1 before adding his second 15 minutes from time to make it 3-1. That performance earned him the club's Man of the Match award.
And two minutes later, Horgan scored his first goal for Preston to make it 4-1 before Brentford got a late consolation to leave the scores at 4-2 at full time.

Meanwhile at Carrow Road, Norwich enjoyed a comfortable 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Ireland playmaker Wes Hoolahan was in action and found the net. And what a goal it was.
With 18 minutes gone and Norwich already 2-0 up, Hoolahan caught a half volley sweetly from distance to score.
It wasn't the only bit of skill he treated the home fans to...
