Foley seeking Blues balm for Munster 'hurt'

Head coach Anthony Foley says Munster are a wounded animal ahead of Friday’s Guinness PRO12 showdown with Leinster in Limerick.

On the back of defeats by Clermont (twice) and Glasgow Warriors, the Thomond Park head coach says any type of victory will do when their old rivals arrive on St Stephen’s Day.

“It’s always been a massive, physical game,” he told legendary rugby commentator Len Dineen of Live95FM.

“We’re not good losers. We don’t accept it ... losing the home game against Clermont obviously hurt.

“I just want the four points to be honest with you. After losing the last three games we just want to get into a place where we can win a game.

“We’re not working any differently than the weeks we won. A lot of people start questioning ourselves. The answers are quite simple: it didn’t go our way.

"We just need to believe in what we’re doing.”

Foley also rued a “very frustrating afternoon in terms of officiating” against Glasgow and admitted Duncan Casey could catch Joe Schmidt’s eye.
