Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater wants the club's players to show some fighting spirit as they find themselves in a desperate battle to avoid relegation so soon after winning the Premier League.
The Foxes were the feelgood story of last season when they confounded observers' wildest expectations by surging past bigger and more storied clubs to win the league for the very first time.
Fast forward to this Sunday and defeat at Swansea City has left Leicester one point above the relegation zone.
The 2-0 loss was also their fifth in a row in the league.
Drinkwater was part of an excellent midfield pairing with now Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante last season.
Speaking to Sky Sports after today's defeat, the England international appeared at a loss to explain why things have gone so drastically wrong, but called for fighting spirit.
"It's hard to put into words to be honest," he said.
"But we need to get out of this. We need to keep on fighting and hopefully it will turn, if not by us, then we need to force it. We need to keep pushing ourselves and make sure we turn it around quicker rather than later.
"We have not changed much. It seems to be that maybe we are not getting the rub of green or something. We believe in ourselves. As long as we keep our heads, I am sure it will come."
Drinkwater also emphasised that manager Claudio Ranieri retains the support of the players, saying: "It is down to us on the pitch. The manager has our support and we have his support."
However, the manager himself is pondering whether to make drastic changes to his team in a bid to beat the drop.
"When you achieve something so good, you want to give them one chance, three chances... maybe now it's too much," said Ranieri.
