Deontay Wilder says he's interested in setting up a heavyweight title unification fight with Anthony Joshua, should the British boxer overcome Wladimir Klitschko this weekend.
IBF heavyweight champion Joshua has the chance to add the WBA Super heavyweight title to his collection, but will have to overcome the Ukranian who - along with brother Vitali - ruled the heavyweight division for a decade.
The 40-year-old lost his titles to Tyson Fury in late 2015 and now for the first time has the chance to win back some of what he lost during his decision defeat in Dusseldorf.
Wilder is the current holder of the WBC heavyweight title and says despite not looking past Joshua to beat Klitschko, he says a bout with the Watford native is certainly one that interests him.
"I would love to scrap with both of them but particularly Joshua," he told Sky Sports.
"Now, even though he is fighting Klitschko, the fans - even over here - want a Wilder-Joshua fight.
"For me, over here in the US, it is a bit strange they are all talking about and advertising us [Wilder and Joshua] and asking people who they want to see."
He added: "You only see mega-fights in boxing once in a while and in the heavyweight division, I think that would be the most exciting and the best in the history of heavyweight boxing for a long time."
Wilder has defended his title six times since winning the crown in 2015 and of his 38-0 professional record, 37 of his victories have come by knockout.
He most recently defeated Gerald Washington in February of this year, securing a fifth round stoppage. Wilder will be ringside for Saturday's fight as a pundit with Sky Sports.
