Top UFC welterweight contenders Demian Maia and Jorge Masvidal will face off in a much anticipated clash at UFC 2011.
Maia was due to face the winner of the welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson at UFC 205 last December but the pair drew and will do it again this weekend.
Maia is currently on a six fight win streak which includes victories over Gunnar Nelson, Matt Brown and Carlos Condit which had put him in line for a shot at the title but that will have to wait at least one more fight.
Sometimes in life, the more you pursuit a dream, the more it escapes you. All there's left is to keep walking, and never give up..

Maia is a five time jiu-jitsu world champion but he hasn't fought since August of last year so taking another fight makes sense although it comes with the associated risks.

He will face the number six ranked Jorge Masvidal who is on a three fight win streak which culminated with an impressive stoppage of Donald Cerrone in January.
UFC 2011 is headlinded by the heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos while Polish phenomenon Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends her title against Jessica Andrade.
