Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is to undergo surgery on his knee in order to return for the start of next season.
The left-back has improved exponentially under the guidance of Spurs' manager Maurico Pochettino since he arrived at the club in 2014.
Rose has developed into a mainstay in the London team which also saw him develop into a regular in the international set-up with England.

However, he sustained a knee injury in a match with Sunderland last January and hasn't featured for his club since.
He did return to training recently, but his knee hadn't healed fully and he will now go under the knife to rectify the problem.

The club confirmed on Tuesday they hope he will return for the start of the new season.
Spurs enjoyed their best ever season in the Premier League and they are guaranteed to finish in second spot with two games remaining.
They travel to Leicester on Thursday before finishing up at already-relegated Hull City at the weekend.
