Conor Murray continues his recovery from a shoulder injury and will feature on the bench for Munster this weekend for their clash with Connacht.
The scrum-half returned to full training this week, but is not fit to start against the last year's Guinness PRO12 champions.
Billy Holland captains the side for this Saturday's game at Thomond Park and partners Darren O’Shea in the second row.
Jean Deysel returns to the starting XV also, having overcome a rib injury to start at blindside flanker.
James Cronin, Rhys Marshall and Stephen Archer make up an unchanged front row. Conor Oliver and Jack O’Donoghue complete the pack.
In the backs, Ian Keatley is in line to make his 150th appearance for the province and will start alongside Angus Lloyd.
Dan Goggin takes his place in the starting line-up back and features beside Jaco Taute.
Keith Earls, Alex Wootton and Andrew Conway make up a newly formed back three.
