Bitter rivals Chael Sonnen and Wanderlai Silva will finally come to blows as the pair have been scheduled to headline Bellator 180 at Madison Square Garden in June.
They were due to fight for the climax of The Ultimate Fighter back in 2014 after the pair coached against one another. They even famously brawled during the show.
However the bout never came to fruition after both had issues with the Nevada Athletic Commission. Sonnen lost his first fight with the promotion against Tito Ortiz by Submission in January while Silva hasn't fought since beating Brian Stann in 2013.
Speaking to the Associated Press, Bellator President Scott Coker said: "I think [Bellator 180] will be the most exciting fight card in MMA this year so far. I mean, who knows what's going to happen before the end of the year, but I think this is going to be the biggest fight card put together by any company so far in the pay-per-view business, and we feel really good about it."
It will be the promotions first card in New York since the sport was legalised in the state in 2016.
In other Bellator related news, the promotion signed former UFC light-heavyweight contender Ryan Bader to its roster.
Excited to officially welcome yet another top Light Heavyweight in @ryanbader #BellatorNation https://t.co/N0KvzxDlQ7
